“Progress in Research on Lithium Oxygen Batteries”
Rouven Scheffler joined Volkswagen in 2006. He received his Master’s Degree in Chemistry in 2006 at the University of Hanover, Germany. At Volkswagen, he worked on PEM fuel cells as the topic of his PhD thesis supervised by Prof. Juergen Caro (University Hanover). The work was focused on the fabrication and modification of proton conducting membranes. After finishing his PhD thesis, he switched his research focus to batteries, in particular Beyond-Lithium-Ion Technologies with a focus on lithium-oxygen batteries.
